The Money Map: Monetization Methods × Property Types, and Who Pays for Each (2026)
No single method carries a property. Every way to make money online falls into four families, and a healthy property runs at least two of them: one that scales with traffic (advertising, affiliate) and one that scales with trust (audience revenue, your own products).

How we map methods to properties
Each method carries the property types it reliably suits, set by the editors from where the money actually comes from (a podcast cannot run display ads; a community cannot sell newsletter sponsorships). Providers inherit the methods they pay for, so a "how do I monetize a newsletter" question becomes: which methods suit newsletters, and which networks, platforms and marketplaces pay for those methods. The planner does exactly that with your traffic and niche, and the calculator puts numbers on it.
