Adam Enfroy's blog is the fast-growth counterpart to the slow-and-steady content cases on this site. He launched adamenfroy.com in early 2019 with a stated strategy: publish long "best X software" comparison posts at volume, build links quickly through guest posting, and monetize with software affiliate programmes that pay recurring commissions. He published monthly income reports through 2020; they crossed $80,000 a month within about eighteen months, and later reports and interviews put the figure above $200,000 a month once his own course was added.
The property
A blog about making money online and the software to do it: web hosting, email marketing, website builders, online course platforms, VPNs, project management tools. Each category got a "best of" post ranking a dozen options, with affiliate links to every one of them, so the page earned whichever product the reader chose. Traffic came from Google, at around half a million visitors a month at the peak.
The revenue mix
- Affiliate marketing was the business: dozens of programmes, but heavily weighted to recurring-commission SaaS on PartnerStack and Impact.com, hosting bounties, and course platforms such as Teachable and Kajabi whose programmes pay for the customer's lifetime. The income reports listed the top programmes individually.
- Online courses: Blog Growth Engine, a high-ticket course teaching the same playbook, became the largest single line once launched.
- Display advertising and sponsored content were small; the pages were built to convert, not to serve ads.
Why it worked
Recurring commissions compound. A reader who signs up for a SaaS through a link in 2019 keeps paying commission in 2021, so each month's new referrals stack on the old ones; the income reports show that curve clearly. The choice of niche mattered as much: software buyers have budgets, software companies pay 20-40% recurring, and "best X" queries are where buying decisions are made.
The approach also carried risk, and the later history shows it: aggressive link building and comparison content at volume are exactly what Google's reviews and helpful-content updates since 2021 have targeted, and many sites following the same playbook lost most of their traffic. The case is included for the mechanics, and with that caveat.
What to take from it
Recurring SaaS commissions are the highest-EPC corner of affiliate marketing, and a blog aimed squarely at software buyers can reach five figures a month faster than any other content model. The affiliate networks list marks which programmes pay recurring. Build it on genuinely useful comparisons and an email list, or the traffic that produced the numbers can disappear as quickly as it arrived.
