Creative Market is a marketplace for fonts, graphics, illustrations, mockups, website and app templates, themes and other design assets, bought mostly by other designers, marketers and small businesses rather than end consumers. Opening a shop requires an application: Creative Market reviews submitted products for quality and originality before approving a seller.

The default commission split gives shop owners 50% of the list price on non-exclusive listings, meaning sellers keep the right to sell the same files elsewhere (their own site, other marketplaces, bundles) at the same time. Payouts are issued monthly rather than per sale, with a $20 minimum balance to trigger a payout; PayPal and Payoneer are the supported payout methods.

Because listing is non-exclusive, Creative Market works well as a secondary distribution channel on top of a designer's own storefront rather than a sole source of income: it brings in buyers who are already shopping for design assets and are unlikely to have found an independent seller's site, at the cost of a 50% cut and a marketplace-wide price environment that trends toward bundles and discounts.

Strengths: an established, design-literate buyer base that pays for quality work, no exclusivity requirement, and straightforward monthly payouts once a shop is approved. Weaknesses: the 50% commission is on the higher end for digital marketplaces, the shop-approval process adds friction and can reject submissions, and heavy site-wide promotions can pull prices down. Best suited to designers who already have a catalog of templates, fonts or graphics and want an additional sales channel rather than their primary one.
